Proposed Temporary Road Closures – Lodge Road and Loring Road, Sharnbrook

I have a request for temporary road closures at the above locations for carriageway resurfacing work. Details are listed in the schedule below and having assessed the application I am satisfied the request is justified.

The alternative routes for diverted traffic are as shown below and will be signed accordingly. The restrictions are to be in operation only when the necessary signs are erected on site. The Legal Order will be made to cover a four month period; however, it is anticipated that the closures will be in operation between 8.00am and 6.00pm on 6 days from Monday 24th October 2016 to Saturday 29th October 2016 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time.

Roads: BBC-1509-RC-JH – Lodge Rd & Loring Rd, Sharnbrook.

Length Affected – Lodge Road: From Church Lane to Colworth Road.

Length Affected – Loring Road: From Lodge Road for approximately 20 metres into the junction.

Reason: For carriageway resurfacing work.

Dates: The closures are anticipated to be in operation between 8.00am and 6.00pm on 6 days from Monday 24th October 2016 to Saturday 29th October 2016 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time – Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

Alternative Routes – Lodge Road: Proceed in a north-easterly direction along Church Lane to High Street. Turn left and continue to Colworth Road. Turn left and continue to site, and vice versa.

Alternative Routes – Loring Road: Proceed in a north-easterly direction along Loring Road to High Street, then follow the above alternative routes as appropriate, and vice versa.

N.B. The applicant is responsible for taking down all Bedford Borough Council public notices immediately after the works requiring the Order have been completed.
