Following the resignation of Mrs Anthea Cooke, who has moved away from Sharnbrook a Casual Vacancy for a Parish Councillor has occurred and is in addition to 2 vacancies to bring the council up to the required number of 13 Councillors. We would therefore like to hear from enthusiastic residents who would like to become involved in the tier of government closest to local people and play a central role in improving our local quality of life. The council meets on the second Tuesday of the month, except August.
The applicant’s name must appear on the current register of the Voters List or the applicant should during the whole of the twelve months preceding the relevant date resided in or within three miles of the parish or the applicant’s only place of work during the whole of the twelve months preceding the relevant date is in the parish. The applicant must not be debarred from standing as a Councillor.
If you would like to know more about the Parish Council why not have a chat with one of the Councillors – list available at the Post Office or the Parish Clerk on tel: 782827.
